We Are Compiling Our Report On Nigeria's Election...US Govt

The United States says it is compiling reports on the 2019 general elections with a view to giving a proper response on it.

The US said it was actively involved with political happenings in the country, particularly regarding the 2019 election.

The US Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of African Affairs, Tibor Nagy, said this in a telephone press conference on Tuesday.

Nagy said during the build-up to the elections, the US Ambassador, Stuart Symington, and his team took many steps to ensure that things went smoothly.

The US official said in the pre-election period, in the election period and currently in the post-election period, they are providing phenomenal guidance to Washington on how the US Government should and should not respond to the election-related matters.

He said, "So, just rest assured that the United States of America Embassy and the Consulate in Lagos, are actively involved and are doing an absolutely superb job to monitor events and to provide guides on how Washington should react to whatever the events there are.

"As you know, our secretary did make a telephone call."

Prior to the Presidential and National Assembly election, the United States Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo, was reported to have placed a call across to the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for a free, fair and credible election in the country while President Donald Trump called Buhari.

The US had threatened to place a visa ban on persons involved in electoral violence.

The American Government had said, "We, and other democratic nations, will be paying close attention to actions of individuals who interfere in the democratic process or instigate violence against the civilian population before, during, or after the elections.

"We will not hesitate to consider consequences –including visa restrictions – for those found to be responsible for election-related violence."

Yes, people in my team know how Ikedi Ohakim was defeated at the 11th hour and why I was invited the night Eze Madumere, the deputy governor was whisked away by the security agencies in Imo state....the role I play...

ATIKU RUNS A BUSINESS EMPIRE NOT A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION!!! By Comr. Charles C Agubor.

For some days now, the media has been awash with the news of the numbers of workers been sacked by Atiku Abubakar's owned companies and businesses outfits.. The remnants of #iStandWithBuhari group, that has been silenced by the ravaging hunger caused by Corona Virus has suddenly regain their lust voices and have taken there toll on Atiku Abubakar .To them he is wicked. Also lack the managerial acumen to manage a country (#Laughable) They have vehemently refused to  criticise their incompetent Messiah in Aso Rock, who is the architect of the misfortunes Nigerians are going through today, for his failure to take actions at the right time. Even as Nigeria is going through hard times, occasions by Corona Virus, their incompetent Messiah has neglected, forgotten and abandoned them in their pool of hunger without palliative, yet they couldn't see reasons to criticise him. The #iStandWithBuhari group, doesn't have the moral right and impetus to criticise the person of Ati...

REGIONALIZATION, RESTRUCTURING AND RE- FEDERALIZATION~ By Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor!!! A MUST READ!!!!!!

REGIONALIZATION, RESTRUCTURING AND RE- FEDERALIZATION~ By Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor!!! A MUST READ!!!!!! As the Biafra agitation has progressed, the call for restructuring as always has taken centre stage in virtually all discussions today. Nigeria's present  structure of an overburdened centre struggling to carry 36 viable and to some extent unviable states does not have the capacity to maximize the significant gains of a genuine fiscal federation. Political restructuring is therefore the panacea for economic growth of Nigeria going forward. The inability of Local government councils to function as well as some state governments will remain a stumbling block to addressing the Governance needs of the people thus the need for a devolution of more powers to States and Local governments. Some have also argued and rightly so, that regionalizing the six geopolitical zones will spur healthy competition and economic prosperity leveraging on the comparative advantages of each region. Ea...
